DIAMONDS AND DOUGH

Our suncatchers were inspired by a dear friend who shared a special gift after losing my beloved pet. That simple gesture of light and love brought comfort when I needed it most. Whether you are looking for a meaningful way to remember a loved one or simply want to brighten your space with beauty and light, you are in the right place.

YOU'LL NEED: 1 T dried starter. 2 T filtered water. 2T flour (unbleached all-purpose or bread.)

1. In a clean jar add 1 T dried starter. 2. Add 4 T warm water (not hot) and mix well, cover and let sit for 1 hour. 3. Stir well, add 4T bread flour to water and starter. 4. Stir well and let sit for 18 - 24 hours, covered loosely. 5. After 24 hours your starter should've doubled. (If not, no worries. See note below. 6. Discard half and feed 50 grams flour and 50 grams water, let rise until doubles again and use.

If it doesn't double in first 24 hours, discard half, feed 50/50 grams water and flour a couple more times, discarding after each time until it doubles, is bubbly and smells sweet and tangy.
